ACCOMMODATION RULES – RELAX PENSION SCHÖNWALD
1. General Provisions
1.1 These house rules (“House Rules”) govern the rights and obligations of the operator of Relax Pension Schönwald (the “Operator”) and the guests accommodated at the pension (each a “Guest”, collectively the “Guests”) from the commencement of the stay until its termination.
1.2 Reservations are governed by the pension’s separate General Terms and Conditions. By commencing the stay, the Guest confirms that he/she has been acquainted with these terms and undertakes to comply with them.
1.3 These House Rules are published at the pension’s reception and on the pension’s website.
1.4 As its name suggests, Relax Pension Schönwald is a place of mutual respect, comfort, peace and relaxation. All Guests are required to behave accordingly and contribute to a pleasant atmosphere for others.
2. Price for Accommodation and Services
2.1 The Guest is obliged to pay the price for accommodation and related services according to the valid price list. Payment is made in advance upon check-in or as agreed with the Operator.
2.2 In the event of early departure, the Guest is not entitled to a refund unless agreed otherwise.
2.3 If the Guest does not use reserved and prepaid services for any reasons on the Guest’s side, or without stating a reason, in whole or in part (e.g., early departure, late arrival), the Guest is not entitled to any financial or non-financial compensation, substitute performance or damages.
2.4 The Operator reserves the right to individually assess and determine the legitimacy of a Guest’s request for potential compensation for unused reserved and prepaid services due to serious reasons on the Guest’s side (e.g., injury, serious illness, death, etc.). For assessment, the Guest is obliged to prove the existence and duration of such reasons (e.g., hospital certificate, medical report, death certificate). The Guest has no legal entitlement to compensation in these cases.
3. Accommodation Conditions
3.1 Check-in from 14:30; check-out by 10:00. The Guest must complete mandatory registration via the QR code at reception no later than 22:00 on the day of arrival. A Guest who fails to arrive or fails to register by this time without prior notice loses the right to the reservation.
3.2 Upon arrival, the Guest shall present an identity document (ID card, passport or other document) and complete the registration card accordingly. Without such a document, accommodation cannot be provided.
3.3 Only designated areas are reserved for smokers. Smoking is prohibited inside the pension. If the Guest violates the smoking ban, the Operator is entitled to a contractual penalty of CZK 5,000. If smoking causes damage, the Guest shall reimburse all related costs in full.
3.4 Guests must keep the premises clean and protect the pension’s equipment. Any damage caused by a Guest will be charged according to the extent of the damage. Upon check-in, Guests shall check the room condition and report any defects to reception immediately—otherwise it is deemed that the room was accepted without defects.
3.5 Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 06:00. Guests must respect the peace of others and refrain from any noise—especially loud music, television, conversations in corridors or on terraces, as well as excessive noise during celebrations or intimate activities. Relax Pension Schönwald is a place of peace and rest; violation of this rule is considered a material breach of the House Rules.
3.6 Pets are permitted subject to presentation of a valid vaccination certificate and prior approval by the Operator. Conditions for stays with pets:
-
Pets must not disturb other Guests or damage the pension’s property.
-
Maximum of one medium/large pet per room, or two small pets.
-
The owner is responsible for all damage caused by the pet and must compensate such damage in full.
-
Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of the stay without compensation.
3.7 Children under 10 years of age may move around the pension only under adult supervision. Leaving children unattended is also prohibited around the outdoor bathing pond.
3.8 The use of private electrical appliances in rooms and pension premises is prohibited, except for a hair curler and an electric shaver. Violation is subject to a contractual penalty of CZK 5,000.
3.9 It is strictly forbidden to take food from the restaurant to the room unless expressly approved by the owner of the pension.
3.10 It is strictly forbidden to bring your own drinks and food into the wellness area. Violation is subject to a contractual penalty of CZK 1,000, payable no later than upon departure.
4. Liability of the Operator and the Guest for Damage
4.1 The Operator is liable for damage incurred by a Guest during the stay at the pension in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Czech Civil Code and other generally binding legal regulations effective in the Czech Republic.
4.2 The Guest shall use the in-room safe to store valuables, cash and personal documents. The pension assumes responsibility only for money and valuables deposited in the reception safe, based on a written inventory signed by both parties. In other cases, the pension assumes no responsibility for loss.
4.3 Claims arising from the Operator’s liability for damage must be asserted by the Guest within the time limits and in the manner set out by the Civil Code and other generally binding legal regulations effective in the Czech Republic.
4.4 Items left behind by Guests are recorded and stored for 3 months. After this period, the pension disposes of the items. Items will be returned to the Guest only upon the Guest’s request delivered within the aforesaid period and exclusively at the Guest’s expense.
4.5 The Guest is liable for damage caused by him/her or by persons for whom he/she is responsible, to the property of the Operator and/or the pension, as well as to the life, property or health of the Operator’s employees or other Guests. Such damage must be compensated to the injured party (Operator, employee or Guest) in accordance with generally binding legal regulations.
4.6 The Operator is entitled to require a guarantee in the form of a pre-authorization on the Guest’s payment/credit card or another form of financial security. The Guest hereby consents to the use of such security to settle any unpaid services or damage caused by the Guest. If the damage exceeds the amount of the security, the Guest must pay the difference without delay.
